No-Dig / Driven Steel Post

No-Dig Fence Installation With Driven Steel Posts

A fence is only as strong as the posts supporting it. Martinez & Sons Fence uses driven steel-post systems on many wood fence installations to create a stronger, cleaner alternative to traditional wood posts set in concrete.

Instead of digging oversized holes and setting wood posts in concrete, steel posts are mechanically driven into the ground to the proper depth. The fence framework and wood materials are then attached to the steel post system.

Why It Matters

Traditional wood fence posts can eventually rot, loosen, or fail at ground level. Steel posts remove the wood-to-ground contact at the structural post, helping improve long-term durability.

Driven posts also reduce excavation, eliminate large concrete footings, and can make future fence replacement easier.

Real-World Value

We have completed fence replacement projects where existing steel posts from an older fence were still structurally usable. Instead of replacing the entire foundation of the fence, the old wood materials could be removed and new fence materials installed on the existing posts, saving the customer substantial replacement cost.
